Best things to do in the morning-Exercise is very important.

If you are anything like me then you are not a morning person. The fact that I have all this extra energy at night is just something that I have to work with. Not only does TV sounds interesting but I usually have a lot of paper work to do and I love listening to late night am talk radio. Because of this I have to be ready to do the smart things in the morning when I get up or else I am in trouble. Here are some smart things that you can do start your morning off on the right foot.

Think positive and be happy that you have another day to live.

Don’t be your worst enemy and hate yourself. Say good things to yourself in the mirror even if you feel ridiculous. You will be surprised how good it feels to get self recognition every morning. It gets addictive and makes you even chuckle at yourself. You begin to form a special relationship with yourself with this technique.

Take 20 deep breathes.

Take 20 deep breaths as soon as you get up. In other words meditate by heavy breathing to give yourself that needed air flow. Especially if your always stressed out or worried about stuff then this will help you out tremendously.

Plan your day ahead.

A person who knows where they are going in the morning is a successful one. I believe if you plan out your day besides work or school and fill in some good things like calling your friend or taking a walk with the dog is super beneficial. I usually make a small list of things to do and then cross them off when I finish them. It makes me feel like i did a lot and that makes me happy. It’s a self rewarding system that really works.

Don’t hit the snooze button.

Hitting the snooze button will only pro long the danger of over sleeping. Besides its not even quality sleep because it is not enough time to get a full rest. Just remember that once you hit the warm shower and the smell of clean soap will refresh and wake you up quickly. The worst part is getting out of bed and getting into the shower. Have a towel and your slippers ready to attack that shower before you start thinking of excuses.

Drink some water.

It is always wise to keep a fresh bottle of water on your night stand. Water is your best friend and having it ready available when needed is a great thing. Especially when you get up in the morning. We get dehydrated over night and many times we want to hit the coffee or juice in the morning but your best bet is to drink room temperature water. Even if it is just a few sips it is better to prime your system with water every morning because our body thrives from it. Afterwards, you can drink your coffee in peace.

Get some sunshine before leaving your home.

A great way to do this is to plant a small garden and water your plants every morning. The plants are counting on you to keep them healthy and watering them in the mornings is best. You can give yourself a good reason to get out in the backyard for a few minutes of sun this way. If not you can just step out into the patio for few moments to soak in the energy.

Eat something.

The worst thing you can do is to skip breakfast. This leads to starving and a stomach ache that will end up in a junk food snack. Make sure you at least get in some toast and juice to give yourself the fuel you need to be productive. I have even had as little as a donut and half a water bottle just to keep myself from not feeling queezy in the morning. This can lead to future health problems. Have some granola bars and waters available just in case you have no time to make breakfast.

Spend a few moments with family or your room mates.

Don’t just leave like a mystery man. Acknowldege the people in the house and say hello or good bye. But don’t just leave like you don’t care about anybody. Believe me this does feel good. I have done this many times in the past and I do not recommend isolating yourself from the people that love and need you. They are important to you so treat them nicely.

Take a multi vitamin after you eat.

This is very important especially if you don’t eat that healthy during the day. I literally have to keep the vitamin bottle in my garage by my keys to remember to take my viamin. It should be simple because its just one pill but I seem to forget a lot. I have been known to carry a pil box in my pocket just to make sure I take one a day.

Most importantly is to get in some exercise.

Of course everybody knows that waking up and exercising is the smartest thing you can do as soon as you waken. Alarm goes off you don’t hit the snooze and immediately you hit the floor for 10 push-ups and 10 sit-ups. This will turn into a good habit that even your family will pick up on. You can even have them hold your feet to get them involved. This a great way to enjoy your life without even knowing it at first.

All it takes is effort.

All this can be done by you as long as you plan ahead and take action. Baby steps are a good way to do this. Just try doing some of them and you will see yourself adding more good things to do in your mornings. I like writing about this subject because I too need help getting up myself up in the morning and not being so negative. I want to be my own best friend not my own worst enemy.

I started jogging when I was just 12 years old. I knew I was doomed to be chubby if I didn't do something. Luckily, my Dad would take me jogging with him so I learned to deal with it at an early age. Now I feel fortunate because now I can show others what it takes to keep feeling good inside and out.
