Hi everyone and welcome to my Fitness 50 plus website. Working out has been a passion for me since I was 12 years old and over the years I have learned many different ways to keep my weight and body type to keep that athletic look. I learned that you can shape your body with different exercises and habits. No strict diets or boot camps just simple daily workouts that help boost your metabolism.
Ever since I was in grade school I always worried about looking too fat. I definitely was a husky kid and there was no getting skinny about it. I knew at an early age that i was going to have to exercise for the rest of my life. I played a lot of baseball growing up in the 1970s so I already learned how to run with my head down and to breathe properly. I also had to wear baseball pants that were very form fitting and revealed just about every thing. Even my father had to put me in a plastic jogging suit and took me running around the block a few times to shed the extra pounds. Have you ever tried to wear one of those rubber waist belts? They actually work and help you sweat more but they stink like heck. Because I am not much of diet type of a person, I knew that exercising was my only hope.
Growing up in Anaheim, California we had standards here and being over weight was definitely not cool. There are a lot of people in Orange County who exercise regularly and it is almost looked at as a status symbol here at the cities by the beach. So being over weight and looking pudgy is frowned upon here in where I’m from. I have always felt this way about my life here in the OC and I struggle with it each day of my life. Thank God the exercising helps me with my mental stability as well as my physical state. They go hand in hand with each other and can really cheer up your mood as well. It has helped me over the years and I know it can help you too if you let it.
Exercising is simple and rewarding.
Working out can really be as easy and quick as you want it to be. It does not have to be grueling hard work that makes you soar every time. The key to getting results is to be consistent and get a daily routine going just like brushing your teeth. You do it every day regardless of the situation. I want to let others know that a simple sit up or weightless squat can do wonders for your body now and in the long run. People get old by just sitting on the sofa every day and not doing any form of exercise whatsoever. I don’t want you to be that type of person. I want you to be the type of person that is limber, strong, good looking and ready to tackle anything physical or mental. And you can be this person by doing simple body movements on a daily basis.
I want to help others who struggle with exercising.
I am excited to share my experiences and expertise with other people who fall in the same weight loss rut that I always do. There is no way I am going to be totally skinny or have a 6 pack, but I can make sure that my chest and arms are bigger than my stomach. And by doing my squats regularly, I can maintain a decent body and not get that huge butt and skinny legs syndrome that many people get from not exercising at all. I am here to help people not to diet but to just keep your health and body in check so you look and feel good at the same time with out killing your self.
